Just finished updating my destroyer drawings. :) So here is a collection of all DD/TB classes in Dutch service ATM.

Very, very nice.
The overgunned designs reflect the mercurial, belicose, hard hitting national character of the Dutch very well!

All those drawings are in the same scale, yes.
Scale is 1 pixel = ~25cm
Stared using that scale for most drawings, so all the Frigates, Sloops, destroyers and all but the oldest BBs are drawn in that scale now.

Impressive... most impressive...

I wish I could draw my ships like that.

I never drew a single ship until I jumped into this. Give it a try. I use the Gimp (which is an opensource bitmap editor). There's a windows installer if you want to try it.

khymerion

Hmmmmm... Gimp you say?  Is there a set of tools or templates available for the weapons or are they all custom done?  It would give me something to do while I am sitting at my weekend obligations...

Shipbucket has some good stuff (side view anyway) if you want to work in 1 foot = 2 pixels scale. Here's a link to their "things that help drawing section":

http://s90.photobucket.com/albums/k279/shipbucket/Things%20that%20help%20drawing/

As I understand it, they don't bother borrowing from other's drawings as long as you give them attribution. The shipbucket contributors have a stringent set of rules about format, etc. if you actually want to contribute to the collection, so I haven't gotten into that yet.

But as far as I know, the stuff on those parts illustrations may be fair game, for non-commercial purposes at least.

Personally, I refer to shipbucket illustrations a lot, but have only ever used one of their anchors and a whaleboat. Everything else I've managed to draw myself, so far.

Are twin mounts on DDs ok yet? I know there are historical precedents by 1918...
