A bigger improved Alaska with bigger guns and better speed. Both ships fought at 3rd Taiwan, Australia coming out pretty unscathed, but Hawaii badly damaged. Hawaii was rebuilt.

She started life out as a sister to Australia. However during 3rd Taiwan shells struck the bridge and steering. Out of control she steamed straight into the enemy's battleline and suffered badly in the process. Pounded at pointblank range she barely survived the battle heavily damaged. She was to be scrapped but then the Senate cancelled Constitution's two sisters and in a clver sufferfuge the NSN decided to "repair" Hawaii. A total rebuild basiclly slipped a new ship under the old one's name plate and bell. The new ship fought well during the 2nd Pacific War, leading a charmed life until a torpedo found her during the Battle of Buru. She was grounded and later destroyed by Dutch battleships.

Originally started as sisters to Alliance I, these ships where redisigned after news of 12" Japanese Battlecruisers came out. They where designed to make use of what was then cutting edge technology, the steam turbine. With war in the air they where sped up with still unreliable turbines being used. Althought 4 where planned only 2 where finished due to Senate being stingy. Constitution would fight with distinction througt the Asian wars. Participating in almost all of the battles (Fuzhou, 1st and 2nd Taiwan) she would be credited with 4 Chinese Coastal Battleships sunk. However heavy damage in 2nd Taiwan (inc 3 torpedo hits) and unreliable turbines would conspire to hobble her. In the Battle of 3rd Taiwan, she was only capable of 20kts, as a result she was relegated to the battleline instead of the fast force. Despite this she would put in a stellar performance in the battle, hitting the Spanish flagship at an unheard of distance of 17,000 yds! Half an hour later with the lines fully engaged one of her shells would find the enemy's magazine. The battle ended a few minutes later but Constitution had her fifth enemy ship sunk. Allaince II in contrast would arrive too late, having been delayed by politics. She would take over Consti's role as flagship while she and Hawaii returned for repairs.

With the cancellation of Constitution's two final sisters, the NSN found itself with a number of spare guns at hand. Careful manipulation in the Senate managed to give the NSN the funding necesary for on 'Coastal Defence' battleships, hence the birth of United states.
