Looking at the Map again and it looks like I overlooked that Slice of DKB between New Zion and myself which contains Dar es Salam the DKB Port just to the East of  Lake Victoria.  Hmmm I need to find a name for a port on that coast.  Back to real world maps.

I have to point it out, that if there's a Lake Victoria, the Rift goes through the Kilimanjaro.

I understand Kilimanjaro to lie in the eastern rift (where the larger East African Rift splits into western and eastern segments) - in that case, Kilimanjaro may not be present, or may be an interesting coastal feature or island.

When I draw the map, I cut the rift along the lakes, including Victoria. With the area so low lying, Lake Victoria should might have a short navigable outlet South to the sea, or be a brackish gulf, instead of draining to the Nile.

I guess the rift could be along the Eastmost line, although that would leaving Ophyr narrower.

Thats the problem with playing with Geography without Lake Victoria we have no Nile and without the Nile we have no Egypt.... Add Infinity... :(

I looked at the world map and there appears to be some small circle possible a lake right at the border between DKB, New Zion, and Italia territory.   I would call this Lake Victoria and just call it a day.  The other lakes that historically lead up to Lake Victoria appear to have been made into that Gulf seperating the Italia territory from the French Congo and Orange Territory.

Apologies for theadomancy, but since I did play a large part in taking a carving knife to Afrika... :p

Lake Victoria is on the west (continental) side of the Great Rift and still flows into the Nile, and is still a freshwater lake. I made sure of this since I wanted the DKB to (a) have a need for teichkreuzers to defend "its" lake against the Caliphate, and (b) to have a stranglehold on the export market for Lake Victoria Cichlids.

Kilimanjaro would, most likely, still exist, but would be a mountain rising straight up out of the waters (on the Ophir side, of course. :p )

Here's a random question that just developed in my mind right before I saw that this thread had joined the undead: Who owns and/or claims the Comoros Islands?

P3D

France, my guess, if not DKB. French IO isles were not sold to Italy.

Likely DKB; Madagascar would be an interesting choice if her sponsors were to enforce her control.

The Comoro's are Italian. Jurisdictionaly connected to Mozambique.

I remember France selling only Mozambique and not any IO islands.
