Should they not have either engine year 1905 (more likley) or 1900 (there being no 1903 engine tech)?

Their armour scheme intrigues me; their belts are relatively thin, while their deck armour is among the thickest of any ship anywhere.
How come?

Looking at the tech list, which is from when Asavery was in charge and could therefore need changed, they first would probably have the 1895 VTE while the second set could have the 1900 turbines, or continue to use the VTE.

Also, shouldn't the 50cals be machine guns, not breech loading?

 :) :) :)

Nice drawing Sachmle but, I think that funnels are too fat. With slim funnels, the silhouette is better for that period (1900)

Thanks for the comments, I am going to made little modifs.

I can do slimmer stacks if you want, my main concern in doing it was that the 152mm's barely fit in the citidal, unless the 305mm's are too large, then the superstructure could be lengthened a little.

IMHO 3x340mm and TDS hardly fits into that 78' beam. The turret itself is 30' (assuming the guns cannot be elevated separately), TDS another 20-30', armor 2'. Moreover, the hull is relatively fine, and the machinery+magazine spaces fill up all the 'normal' length nicely, so they must be close to the ends.
And Engine Year should be 1909 not 1908.
The first purpose of a warship is to remain afloat. Anon.

The Rock Doctor

Yes, it'd be a tight fit.

The secondary armament's on the light side, I think.  4 x 120 mm guns per side isn't a lot of defence against torpedo-boat attack.

Borys

Ahoj!
The most likely enemies are:
- Colombians
- Maoris
- Brandenburgers
- NeoSwiss
- Eorlingas

Are any of these likely to use massed torpedo boat attacks against the Peruvians?

The Rock Doctor

The Swiss, certainly.  GC has the numbers for it.  DKB doesn't have the strength.  Rohan and Maoria prefer heavy artillery.

Borys

Ahoj!
Thing is that the Neoswiss have no nearby base to bring those >1000 tonne ships to Peruvian shores.

So that would only leave the Colombians.
True, 4x4,7 ain't much.
