4x4 90mm guns are placed on the superstructures at the base of the funnels
note, the BB is 26m (85ft) beam. In top view, there is enough place.

I never install guns on the turrets  :o  , gunners are too exposed  :(  , I prefer to install them in the superstructures with protection front by light armour & aft by funnel.

KK, should have thought about the beam....  :-[

Note the extrem front & aft magasines, they are under the barbette...
Because the belt is just 104m lenght...probably too short.

  ???  ???  ???

I must certainly increase the lenght of the belt to 108m to have a good symetrical disposition for the magasines, similar to middle turrets.

...Or & decrease the % of the forecastle & quaterdeck from 18% to 17.5 or 17%

Ahoj!
I prefer the 12 gunned one. But both are nice. Well armoured, with a good kick.
The oneworrying thing is the sability - I personally never go below 1,1 in my large ships. I'd sacrifice a bit of gun platform to get better survavibility 65% gunplatform still is good.

*Notes to self he's glad Peru is a friend/ally*

Try drawing that. I tried a similar layout, and I think you'll find that the belt is to short to cover all the necessary things....and I think a 85mm deck is probably stronger than needed. I've run BigGun on most of the guns in Nverse and at 12kyds most won't punch through anything thicker than 2.5". Korpen uses NAaB and usually gets different numbers, so I'd be interested to see what he says on this. Nice ship though.

I study a kind of Pocket BB with very big guns.

   Metacentric height 7.8 ft / 2.4 m
   Roll period: 16.2 seconds
   Steadiness   - As gun platform (Average = 50 %): 70 %
         - Recoil effect (Restricted arc if above 1.00): 0.38
   Seaboat quality  (Average = 1.00): 1.25

Hull form characteristics:
   Hull has a flush deck
   Block coefficient: 0.515
   Length to Beam Ratio: 6.00 : 1
'Natural speed' for length: 25.49 kts
Power going to wave formation at top speed: 39 %
   Trim (Max stability = 0, Max steadiness = 100): 56
Bow angle (Positive = bow angles forward): 0.00 degrees
   Stern overhang: 0.00 ft / 0.00 m
Freeboard (% = measuring location as a percentage of overall length):

      - Stern:      16.40 ft / 5.00 m
      - Average freeboard:   17.76 ft / 5.41 m
Ship tends to be wet forward

Ship space, strength and comments:
   Space   - Hull below water (magazines/engines, low = better): 80.8 %
      - Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 140.2 %
Waterplane Area: 47 509 Square feet or 4 414 Square metres
   Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 104 %
Structure weight / hull surface area: 197 lbs/sq ft or 964 Kg/sq metre
   Hull strength (Relative):
      - Cross-sectional: 0.96
      - Longitudinal: 1.39
      - Overall: 1.00
Hull space for machinery, storage, compartmentation is excellent
Room for accommodation and workspaces is excellent
Ship has slow, easy roll, a good, steady gun platform

heya Jef the only problm I see with your pockets (and thats only if you are trying to be like the German Panzershifes) while you can definetly kill cruisers, and some older BBs what would you do against one of the new 9X16" or 10X16" that have just as good of protection and can run around at 25 knots.  Thats the problem I ran into with my pocket BB Program with Italia.

my advice would be adopt 20 knots top speed as your standard (no real reason to go faster as your area of operations is rather limited), heavy armor (match your armor thickness to your gun bore), adopt 1.10, 1.25, and .75 as requirements.

Just some advice and like all advice (solicited or otherwise) its free and can be Ignored. :)

The interrest of that pBB is to have very big guns, Probably able to kill a new 16" BB.
So , with 24.000t or 25.000t, it is possible to built 2 kind of BB in 1920
4T3x340 or 2T3x420

Same protection, speed, range...

What is better for a 25.000t BB in 1920 to engage 16" BB ?
12x340 or 6x420

Honestly id go for 2 15K  ton BBs 20 knot (so you keep the engine weight down) and proly 6X16.  Ill see what I can work up when I finish playing with my BC idea
