Maybe.  You'd think that after ~1,900 years the Church would have enough money on hand to build a battlecruiser battle-cathedral large ship.

Hello,

Now that is an 'inspired' design(sorry couldn't help it)  ;D

We need an award for most creative warship, that is just awesome. Reminds me of Warhammer. Thanks for the presentation.
...and that is no coincedence... :)

I didn't appreciate that this was a battlecruiser, rather than a battleship.

Now the question is how this might be afforded...
As a general purpose ship, I think she would be batter as a Battleship and about 20m shorter and 2kts slower.
The shortening would allow for a more coherent and imposing superstructure, as well as a better protected one as it allows for the upper belt to extend over one more deck, and increase thickness to 16cm.

Another option would be to increase the size of the guns to 35cm and reduce them to twelve, as a symbol of the twelve disciples.

Or just 12 x 12", as a way of hammering home that symbolism.

QuoteJust shooting at such a ship would be blasphemous.
Course for some, NOT shooting this floating blasphemy, would be sacrilege in itself! ;D

Noooo!!!Don`t let Walter hear you! You don`t want to see what he is capable of.

Hello,

If this ship is to become a reality, I would recommend making the superstructure more of a half octagon with the main battery located at the points. You could then fire to sides a bit. I suppose the side casemates would be wing mounted(maybe SS3 could show that-although the barrels might get close to the water in bad weather)?

Also for 'Warhammer' style decor I would increase Misc. Weight by a few hundred tons(to account for the gothic styling).

She is not practical but certainly fun... I love the 'Warhammer' universe.

I would enjoy seeing Walters fun creations. Maybe we could see the League of Extraordinary Gents 'Nautilus'.

Thanks for the new twist Korpen. It has livened up the forum.

Ahoj!
Lovely!
I will poke around for some Battlefleet Gothic (space)ships.
There was a Sisters of Battle (battle nuns, to those not versed in Warhamer 40K lore) battleship I once saw ...
