June 28, 1908 -BATTLE OFF AFRICAN COAST
It has been learned that a conflict occured between forces of the Republic of Switzerland and our Royal Navy...
Our Vessels had orders to protect shipping off the Africa coast and to intercept and detain hostile Warships..
..dozens wounded and many killed...
Sadly the HMS Kaska succumbed to her wounds a few hours after the fight..
HMS Cheyenne was badly damaged in the struggle..
How two of our glorious and powerful cruisers could be ravaged so, has led to recriminations in the Admiralty...
Apparantly the survivors of the scuttled Swiss Cruiser were picked up by the very prey for which they were searching, a Dutch Vessel...
