Ahoj!
How much is 160M $ in N-verse?
This is the cost of a 2km long bridge.

If we were to look at the ship construction rules to determine the cost, it's GBP number multiplied by 10. 1 springsharp GBP is 4 springsharp USD (If I am right). That means the bridge will cost you (160/4)*10=$400
... does seem like a lot... on the other hand, considering the costs of warships...

Walter

BTW, is the 160M dollar pricetag for today or 1908 (or somewhere around that time)?

Okay... using an online inflation calculator gives me..
160,000,000 USD (2005) = 7,928,492 USD (1908)
7,928,492 USD (1908 Sharp) = 1,982,123 GBP (1908 Sharp)

1.982*10 = $19,821

... which looks to be more acceptable than the original $400 I calculated.

... but that is only the price if we apply the ship building rules to the bridge.

What cost $160 in 2005 would cost $7.93 in 1908.

Yes. That's the inflation calculator I used as well. :)

I think P3D would know best what to apply to bridges.

Ahoj!
I admit it is a long bridge - 2200 yards - but the price of 19$ came as a surprise :)
8$ seems more reasonable for a two level bridge with 4 lanes for ox-cart traffic, double track 5' RR, and two gangways for cyclists.

I would assume that the civilian discount of 75% would apply in the case of bridge, its not a fort or man of war its more like a merchant ship / liner.

Michael

How much steel is in that bridge?
The first purpose of a warship is to remain afloat. Anon.
Below 40 degrees, there is no law. Below 50 degrees, there is no God. sailor's maxim on weather in the Southern seas

maddox

Depends on the kind of bridge, span and location.

As it is an investment in civilian infrastructure, I think the cost should be a moot point, include it in the civilian IC cost.
