Just remember the party hats for the funeral....

We'll see what plan the Swiss have, but I seriously doubt it is all as bad as people image, just based on the actual technology in use and the distances involved.

Borys

Ahoj!
As Wilhelm himself has half a dozen sons, decapping the dynasty is a tough job.

It could be made into a movie:

17 June
Neue-Kiel News-Presse

The Swiss have learned the hard way that they cannot bombard Brandenburg. A Swiss "fishing boat" that sneaked into Neue-Kiel and attempted a bombardment first had its guns broken by the tricks of Loki, then was completely smashed by our artillery as the hammer of Thor...

Let the Swiss be warned that all other attempts to do this will suffer the same result!

and so it continues...

LZ-9, Over the Brandenburg Sound

"Major, we are not going to make it. We are losing too much hydrogen from the foward cells and we don't have enough ballast. Recomnd we abort mission."

"I don't give a hoot in Hell how you do it, you just get me to the Primary, ya hear!"

"Yes sir."

War Room

"General  Turgidson, can your boys pull it off?"

"My boys? If the captain's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A huge zeppelin like the LZ-9... zooom! Its preassure wave... stampeding 'roos in the outback!"

"Dr Schweinhund, what about the propaganda aspect? How will we be hurt?"

"Regrettably, yes. But we can spin it to our advantage."

"Will it be difficult?"

"It would not be difficult, Mein Fuhrer. Propaganda is... I'm sorry, Mr. President... propaganda can be twisted every which way. You see propaganda is the art of producing in the mind of the enemy... the FEAR to attack..."

Brandenburg Harbor, Fishingboat Freya

Captain Ernst Lütjens was in a foul mood, here he was at two o'clock in the morning doing circles in his fishing boat. Like if he would be able to stop the Swiss Navy with a machine gun if they decided to show up. Then again what was he doing here? If the official news where correct the entire Swiss Navy would have been sunk three times over by now. At least he hadn't been sent to the regular navy, they had not been seen since October.

"Coffee sir?"

"Might as well."

Just two more hours, tought Lutjens. By four o'clock his relief would arrive and he would be able to go home. Wait what was that? There caught in the beam of the Brandenburg lighthouse was the massive shape of a zeppelin. That was the last thing Lutjens saw, as a fireball brighter than the sun erupted in front of his eyes. Within a few seconds the windows of the deckhouse shattered explosively and a giant hand slammed Lutjens into the wall, turning day into night...

July 1908, Australia
The news reaching the Kingdom from the conference caused spontaneous demonstrations, close to riots. Soldiers were called in to control the angry crowds, and they were barely adequate for the job. Being Australian National Guard or Militia, they shared the sentiment of the crowds.
- Wogs in, Aussies out!
- We ain't paying for no Gooks!
- We've got more than enough Cuthroat Muhameds across the border in Firanjee!
- Nice reward for beating the Germans, Austrians and Dutch - our daughters kidnapped to harems!
- Keep our Sheep safe!

Well informed sources swore on the heads of their firstborn, that the Queen yelled at the head of the Liason Office, representing the Confederation Gov't:
- Is this some sick joke? We are NOT amused!
NEDS - Not Enough Deck Space for all those guns and torpedos;

...so....what happened?  Give us a pay-off, or we won't watch your next movie.

I believe we are waiting for Desertfox and Korpen to do something.  Perhaps Walter was well.

I'm referring specifically to the airship over Brandenburg.  Did the Swiss pull a 9/11?  Crash into a warehouse of lederhosen und bratwurst?  Blow up in mid-air to the great delight of watching Brandenburgers?

Edit:  in more general terms - there are a lot of us hanging in the wind, so some form of an update would be helpful.

Desertfox

Well I was hoping swampy could fill in the details of death and desolation in the harbor... But there are some clues above.
