      - Above water (accommodation/working, high = better): 147.0 %
Waterplane Area: 8,403 Square feet or 781 Square metres
   Displacement factor (Displacement / loading): 180 %
Structure weight / hull surface area: 51 lbs/sq ft or 250 Kg/sq metre
   Hull strength (Relative):
      - Cross-sectional: 0.73
      - Longitudinal: 16.72
      - Overall: 1.00
Hull space for machinery, storage, compartmentation is adequate
Room for accommodation and workspaces is excellent
Excellent seaboat, comfortable, rides out heavy weather easily

'Torpedo Bulkhead' = below-waterline cargo = 999 tons + 'Misc Weight'  = above-waterline cargo = 1001 tons = 2,000 tons cargo = 1,000 men.

3246 - 2000 = 1246 / 4 = 311.5 / 1000 = 0.3115 BP

Interesting approach - why a bulkhead, rather than the common practice of adding bunkerage?

Valles

I didn't think of it.

In retrospect, though, I think that this way gives me a convenient way to know exactly how much weight is what, rather than having part of the cargo tangled in with something else.

True.  I suppose it may give a more accurate representation of the ship's overall size and internal subdivision...

Next option up. Marginally better capacity/BP - 13.4 per corps rather than 15.55 - but I don't have as many Type 1 slots as Type 0.

OTOH, they're cheap. May go for both.
