I was simming a reconstruction of my Campeon class armored cruisers, and mixed up the range and cruising speed - so the input was a cruising speed of 7,000 knots, and a range of 10 nautical miles.  Curiously, the program had absolutely nothing to say about that...

Hmmmm.... perhaps I should start watching out for KKK (Kinetic Kill Kruisers) being launched at anything that gets too near to the GC coastline? ;)

Springsharp stops counting when cursing speed reach max speed. So if a ship has a top speed of 25kts you get the same result if you set cursing speed to 27 or 2700kts.

It would redefine the concept of a "torpedo-boat."  I seem to recall reading somewhere recently about a Star Wars setting spacecraft whose offensive attack is to plough through its enemies...

Torpedo Rams, to be exact.

No cursing allowed when I am around!! :D

Now, either there is something wrong with my eyes or the bunker changes. The higher the cruising speed is set, the smaller the bunker is...
???

The Rock Doctor

Perhaps at those speeds you're airborne and don't have to worry so much about plowing through water...

Walter

You mean airborne like this?

You still have a maximum speed and the cruising speed never exceeds the maximum speed, so no matter if the cruising speed you set is 50 knots or 50,000,000 knots, the cruising speed in the reports above will always be considered as 18 knots. The only limit to this 'trick' is the size of the bunker.

Ithekro

What Lord Harlock's grandson's flagship?

The Rock Doctor

No, Walter, not that ship.  Remember, superfiring turreted secondaries are not yet allowed in our design rules.
