Actually, if I recall correctly, only the $ cost for the batteries is doubled - not the BP cost.

Coastal defences
5 inch or higher calibre guns installed as Coastal Defence are to be Springsharped as gun, Turret and Barbette ONLY, with 0 freeboard. Double the BP cost to account for the seel going into the barbette/magazine, and installation cost would be equal to the cost of the turret. For upkeep, they are treated like naval units, based on the cost of the turret.
E.g. a 12" twin turret with 12" face and 8" side/top armor has a weight of 216t(guns)+181t(armor)=397t, and cost 0.176m SS-pounds ($1.76 Navalism-money).
To build this turret, 0.4BP and $1.76 is needed. To install this turret (or a similar turret taken from an old battleship), you need another 0.4BP and $1.76.
Upkeep is paid based on the price of $1

Heh, I recently did a list of what the DKB "needs" to construct in the way of infrastructure, fortifications, etc. (not including railroads). The totals were, in a word, frightening...

I made some component cost calculation recently to override the SS cost calculation for components, based on OTL cost breakdown .

1000t of Complete turrets/mounts (gun+armor+hoists+misc) cost 1BP and $2.

Ahoj!
Question - I have ordered a ship from a foreign yard. That country has access to all technologies my ships save one - the requeried gun technology.

Can they build the guns with my blueprints?

If not, what do I have to supply:
1 - guns - 75 tons a pop
2 - guns and mounts - 75 tons a barrel + 600 tons per double mount
3 - guns and mount and turret and barbette

I would prefer 1 or 2. In the case of 3 could that country make the armour plates, and the fitting of the turret be done at my yard?
