Ahoj!
I just noticed that specialists got lumped with cavalry. Fine with me.
Now my Auslaender Freiwilliger will be specialists - Colonial Infantry.

What if you want specialist cavalry?

You mean like desert cavalry like Rohan had?  Or do you mean elite cavalry (which happened to be the same desert cavalry for Rohan again...).

Ahoj!
Please define specialist cavalry.

Elite units got lost in transition. Is there any demand for them?

All sorts of desert units are lumped together. They have both cavalry and infantry regiments.
Keep in mind that the lower logistics needs of infantry - especially the lower water consumption - makes them much more suited for desert warfare.

Was there any corps-sized horse cavalry units in any deserts, historically, by the way?

There are elite units. They are those kept full strength in peacetime - for the price of wartime upkeep.

I had special Desert Cavalry (with camels), plus the Elite Cavalry Unit in the NSEF.  I would like to keep them.

Ahoj!
You can keep them both:
1 - Specialist Corps - Camel Cavalry
2 - Specialist Corps - Horse Cavalry - Wartime Upkeep
