The Swiss Torpedo Cruiser. A heavy armament foward provides supressing fire in the torpedo run, the lighter armament on the sides is for swatting screeening destroyers. The torpedoes are placed in 3 triple mounts.

Why are you willing to spend your money for that stuff - big slow ships with the lack of torpedo tubes... this one could not wound the cruiser o battleship because the lack of the speed and moreover this ship may be found and attacked before it comes to the distance of torpedo shot.....

Desertfox wants more range than the DD or TB will provide in order to make long-distance strikes possible, since he has so much territory to cover.

OK; the only problem I see then is that the l:b ratio is over 10:1...

Which is deliberate, wanted a long thin boat. I might push her up to 29kts.

As for why not TBs, I already have plenty of those. I need a leader for them.

I don't know if cruisers can go over 10:1; I think that only destroyers can, and they are limited to 12:1.
