QuoteMainly you'll find the odd ships with turreted medium guns
Exactly. Now I am no expert (and currently too lazy to look it up in books and on the net) but I'd guess that at this point in time, those secondary turrets are probably too slow to operate, the deck mounts too exposed to enemy fire, so that's why the majority of the big ships had the secondaries in casemates.
QuoteAnd yes, i am in a BC "period"
The horror! The horror!  :o

That's why I have complained about the restrictions on turrented secondaries especially when they form part of the main armament.

Ah a Fisher Folly! Unfortunately Korpen it can not outrun everything on the seas, Swiss Heavy Cruisers are faster still...but I like her and am planning something similar if much faster.

But coal fired, so they are unlikely to be able to keep their top speed for more then 2-3h at most.
Also they are no longer in accordance with the rules. :P

But is no folly, even with uncapped shells the guns can penetrated ever battleship in existence out to at least 60hm, most likely more.
And with her speed she can close the distance with a battleship and the fight as equals, as both ships can smash the other ships armour with impunity. I have done my Fisher-homework. :)

Constellation is going to be full Oil Fired and is fully rule compliant...

Oh Im not saying its a folly, I too like 'em! I'm probably Fisher's most vocal supporter around!

She'd look a lot more like that if I had 'all or nothing' armor tech, Borys.

PacFleet is going to get some interesting ships in the next 15 years... these are just the beginning.
