Abraxas Class:

- So, the secondary layout has eight guns at the level of the aft deck, running from roughly midships to well forward, and four more guns over those around midships? Nifty looking.
- I'm inclined to think that you may want more ammuntion for the QF 75s
- The general weight of armor seems about right to me, but the use of a 20% forecastle and a 15% quarterdeck weems kind of overly generic to me. Why do those particular lengths suit this ship? Would longer or shoter have any benefits?
- 8m draft and a split 5.5m and 3m freeboard... what are the internal deck heights? They can't be consistent...

Arwing Class:

- Much better ammo allocation for the 75mm Quickfire guns, but the 150mm are 45L where the Abraxas carried 50L. Is this an intentional difference, and if so, why have two guns of such similar characteristics?

Armour:
   - Belts:      Width (max)   Length (avg)      Height (avg)
   Main:   6.69" / 170 mm   355.09 ft / 108.23 m   9.84 ft / 3.00 m
   Ends:   1.97" / 50 mm     94.36 ft / 28.76 m   9.84 ft / 3.00 m
Main Belt covers 122 % of normal length
Main belt does not fully cover magazines and engineering spaces
One way or another, this is probably problematic. Also, I'm uncertain about the value of a 15mm deck.
- Again, inconsistent internal deck heights

Faith Class:

- The 'parallel' to my own Hand Class HCs, and very solid ships in their own right.
- Fewer but slightly larger and higher velocity main guns; better performance against armor close in, but fewer chances to hit - the standard trade-off.
- More and larger secondary guns, although half of them are in hull casements.
- Again, good ammo allocation on the 75s. Other ammunition supplies seem to indicate that the ROFAN is more comfortable relying on resupply than the CGF.
- Slightly faster, not as well protected.
- Oligatory Deck Heights Note
- Overall, a very solid cruiser type, quite capable of dealing with most things in its weight class, without attempting to indulge in delusions of challenging a battleship the way the Hands have to for lack of anything heavier in Croatoa's inventory.

Bellerophon Class:

- Hmm. A mixed battery BB? Not a type I'm fond of, but...
- ...I wonder about needing to suppress the actual secondary battery to hull casements to get the needed field of fire.
- And the 75mm magazines have shrunk again. Doctrine about battleships?
- Oh, hey, torpedo bulkhead. That'll help extend this design's lifespan all by itself.
- Another proportions note, not just for deck heights but the 20/15 recurrance

Chimaera Class:

- The mixed battery Bellerophons make more sense now - a clear evolution up to the all-big-gun Dreadnought type.
- French-style 'diamond' layout for the next class, or straight to echelon midships turrets?
- Hull casements again... maybe consider 'broken' batteries on the sides of fore and aft superstructures, instead, the way I did with the Maori? Less room, but you'd actually be able to count on using them.
- Proportions, yadda, yadda, yadda

Well, to go down the list.

1. Freeboard overall: I may have mixed things up, will have a look again when I am in front of a comp that runs SS (trying to get it working on the Mac)
2. Secondaries on Arwing. Just being forgetful, will fix. Same with the Belt, must have added ammo and forgot to check  :-[
3. QF 75mm ammo: See above
4. Faith: Will fiddle with the ammo supplies and see what can be done to increase them.
5. Bellerophon: This was my poor attemt at copying the USN Conneticuts. You are correct in that it serves as a gateway to the AQY on the Chimaera. 75mm mags are just me forgeting. (need to stop doing this late at night)
6. Chimaera: Im thinking of going to the Dante Alighieri layout, so will be mixing turreted and casemated secondarties in the next class.

Thanks for the thoughts, will post tweeks later tonight.

Carthaginian

??? Why are both the fore and aft mounts superfiring? ???
The upper belt of 2" doesn't seem to serve a whole lot of purpose: it shields no casemates, it protects no mines, and it hides no barracks. It seems there for only splinter protection. Aside from that, a nice and solid ship... though, like the Monmouth class, I as a 'mixed battery' fan must say that her designers 'forgot the heavy guns.' ;D
So 'ere's to you, Fuzzy-Wuzzy, at your 'ome in old Baghdad;
You're a pore benighted 'eathen but a first-class fightin' man;
We gives you your certificate, an' if you want it signed
We'll come an' 'ave a romp with you whenever you're inclined.
